The first of the three Seyssuel crus to be revived, released as a red in 1998, and considered by many the most prestigious wine to come out of the appellation. Grown across 3.5 hectares of schist and quartzite hillside, vines averaging 20 years old, partially destemmed and traditionally vinified for two to three weeks with indigenous yeasts alone. Ample, balanced and complex, with a spiced palate. Aged 16 months in French oak barrels, built with real ageing potential of 10 to 15 years. Good with pan seared duck breast and wild mushrooms or a tournedos Rossini.
